remember to choke up on the bat and swing level

Well, dumplings, I've gone the way of Ann and Sarah and so many others and patched together an off-xanga blog. It makes me sad, actually, because for the longest time xanga was such a cozy place to keep up with friends' lives and regale you with tales of my own. But most of you losers have departed, so I am too. At least partially. I'll keep reading those of you who keep writing.

many thanks for the running article and the buttload of sparkles. All parts of your card (including cute puppy photo that, thankfully, does not really make me think of melanoma) were enjoyed thoroughly.

I have to confess: when I first pulled your envelope out of my post office box, I didn't recognize the address. I did, however, hear something rustling around in the envelope, and thought for a fleeting second that someone from Missouri had sent me anthrax. Then I noticed the rustling bits looked shiny and flower-shaped, and my anthrax fears subsided.

The article was great (I'm saving it for reference)...and yes, I do get way enthusiastic about stuff I read in magazines. (I love magazines, for that very reason---so many things I can makes to-do lists for!) We'll see if I can make the running thing stick. It would be ridiculous if I couldn't, because I have my very own private, secluded, 1/5 mile track out back. So, this week I'm gonna start week one of the running schedule in the article. Here's to trying.

p.s. what is this about an off-xanga blog? Grr. I love Xanga, and I'm not yet up for permanent relocation myself, but I too am getting a little irritated by the fact that hardly anyone posts anymore. I mostly only read you and Josh, unless someone else posts once in a blue moon.

I will favorite your new bloginality. Oh, I hate myself for saying "bloginality" just then...and for using "favorite" as a verb. grr.
